Google Ads agency for ecommerce brands

We run Google Ads for ecommerce brands across Performance Max, Search, Shopping, Demand Gen and YouTube, usually alongside their Meta ads. We keep the account consolidated around your best sellers, look after your product feed in Merchant Center, report branded campaigns separately from the ones finding new customers, and add first-party tracking and UTMs on top of Google's own reporting, so you can see new versus returning customers and where Google sits in the journey.

What's included

  • 01

    Full account review and clean-up

Tracking, structure, search terms and settings checked first, then auto-applied recommendations and auto-generated assets switched off so the account does what you want.

  • 02

    Performance Max, Search and Shopping

A consolidated structure with your hero products in their own campaigns, and the ad copy and assets written for you.

  • 03

    Demand Gen and YouTube

Used where they fit the brand and the budget, often with the video and statics already proving themselves on Meta.

  • 04

    Product feed and Merchant Center

Titles rewritten to match how people search, prices and stock kept current, disapprovals fixed and review ratings showing.

  • 05

    Brand and non-brand split

Branded campaigns are reported apart, with their own new-customer targets, so you can see what Google is adding.

  • 06

    First-party tracking on top

Google's reporting, plus first-party attribution and UTMs, to split new from returning customers and see where Google sits in the journey.

We run Google Ads for ecommerce brands, usually alongside their Meta ads. Each account is built around your goals, margins and best sellers, and measured on the new customers it brings in.

Who is this for?

Ecommerce brands that sell online, usually on Shopify, and want Google to capture the people already searching for what they sell, and to reach new ones on YouTube and across Google’s networks.

For most brands, Meta is where new customers are found first, and Google adds intent capture on top. That’s why most of the brands we run Google for also run Meta ads with us. If you only need Google, we can start there and expand later. We’re based in Sydney and work with brands around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, Europe and Canada.

How do we run your Google Ads?

  1. We review and clean up the account first. We check the conversion tracking against your store, the campaign mix and the search terms taking the most spend. Then the settings that quietly cost money get fixed: auto-applied recommendations and auto-generated assets off, location targeting set to people actually in your markets, and your brand name excluded from the campaigns meant to find new customers.
  2. We make sure the tracking is right. Purchases are checked against your Shopify sales, and first-party tracking and UTMs are set up so every order can be traced back to the campaign behind it. More in fixing your tracking before you scale.
  3. We keep the structure consolidated. Fewer campaigns, each with enough budget to learn, split by market where it matters. Performance Max does most of the work, feed-only or with your creative, and Search sits alongside it. The products you’re pushing get their own campaign, so the budget goes where you want it.
  4. We look after the product feed. Shopping and Performance Max are only as good as the feed behind them. We rewrite titles for your best sellers to match how people search, keep prices and stock in line with your site, fix disapprovals, get review ratings showing and keep accessories and add-ons out of the ads.
  5. We add Demand Gen and YouTube where they fit. They’re not on by default. When the brand and budget suit them, we use them to reach new people, often with the video and statics already working on Meta.
  6. We keep the search terms clean. We review the search terms report regularly, add negatives for the wasted spend and remove any that block products you actually sell.
  7. We plan sales and launches. Sale assets and extensions are scheduled per market and time zone, budgets lift on launch day, and the sale ads come down on time.

How do we judge whether Google is working?

Google’s own reporting is relatively accurate, more so than Meta’s, so it’s the starting point. On top of it we add first-party tracking and UTMs, which show two things Google can’t: how much of the revenue is from new customers versus returning ones, and where Google sits in the customer journey, whether it started the sale, closed it or helped in between.

Branded and non-branded campaigns get their own new-customer targets, and spend only scales when the store’s overall numbers hold up too. When results drop, we check them against real orders before anyone changes the budget.

How does Google fit with Meta?

They work together. Meta is usually where new customers are found, and Google catches the people already searching. Because we run both, we can compare them side by side and let the budget follow the results.

When we started with EHPlabs, it had four online stores, each with its own ad accounts, and most of its budget in Google. We brought each platform into a single ad account, and as Meta proved itself, budget moved from Google into Meta.

Which brands do we run Google Ads for?

None of our case studies publish a Google-only result, because for these brands Google runs as part of a wider ad mix. These are brands where Google is part of the work, and every one is still a client:

In IMBER founder Nicole Merrillees’ words: “With Manu leading our Meta and Google ads, our revenue has grown substantially.”

How is working with Nuver different?

One strategy across your ad channels, so Google and Meta aren’t competing for credit, and what works on one feeds the other. Landing pages to match: when a product needs its own page, our landing pages service builds it. And you won’t have to chase us: we reply within one business day and report every week.

Questions people ask

Do you manage Performance Max, Shopping and YouTube ads?

Yes. We run Performance Max, Search, Shopping, Demand Gen and YouTube for ecommerce brands, and look after the product feed in Merchant Center too. Performance Max usually does most of the work, with Search alongside it, and Demand Gen and YouTube added where they suit the brand. When we started Google Ads for SLS3, we began with product-feed campaigns. Branded campaigns are reported separately from non-branded ones, so a strong-looking Performance Max result isn't just people who were already searching for your brand.

Is Google's own reported ROAS accurate?

More than most. Google's reporting is relatively accurate, and more reliable than Meta's, so we use it. On top of it we add first-party tracking and UTMs, which show how much of the revenue is from new customers versus returning ones, and whether Google started the journey, closed it or helped in between. That's what decides how much more budget Google should get.

Should we run Google Ads or Meta ads first?

For most ecommerce brands, Meta first, because it's where new customers are found. Google then adds intent capture: people already searching for what you sell. We treat the two as working together, not as alternatives, and move budget towards whichever is proving itself.

Can you run our Google Ads without taking on Meta?

Yes. We can start with Google Ads on its own and expand from there if it makes sense. Most of the brands we run Google for also run Meta with us, because one strategy across both makes it easier to put the budget where it's working.

How long does it take to see results from Google Ads?

New campaigns and products get a proper test of a few weeks before we draw conclusions. Google's algorithm doesn't like sudden swings, so we avoid big changes while campaigns settle, but budget does move towards the campaigns hitting their targets as soon as the numbers show it.

Do you run Google Ads for brands outside Australia?

Yes. We're based in Sydney and work with brands around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, Europe and Canada, with campaigns, feeds and copy set up per market. For EHPlabs we run Google across online stores in several countries, and for Bunjie we helped launch its UAE store with Meta and Google ads.
